Ahmad Bakhtafrouz was born in Isfahan, Iran, in 1984. He received the B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), Isfahan, Iran, in 2006, 2009 and 2015, respectively.
From 2006 to 2008, he was a researcher at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Research Center (ECERC), Isfahan University of Technology. His research activities were focused on microwave couplers, reflector antennas and oscillator designing. In May 2016, he joined the faculty of the Isfahan University of Technology, where he is currently an associate professor with the electrical and computer engineering department. Currently, his research interests include millimeter-wave antennas, plasmonic devices and periodic structures such as EBGs, AMCs and FSSs.
